The Lucky Clover Gives Back by Donating to the Wikimedia Foundation

Benicia, CA- The Lucky Clover Trading Co., a division of Kingsum, Inc. announced today they are making a donation to support the Wikimedia Foundation. Wikimedia is a non-profit organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area that operates Wikipedia, the world’s largest and most popular online encyclopedia, with over 518 million visits per month.

The Wikimedia Foundation’s mission is to empower the global volunteer community in collecting and developing the world’s knowledge database and make it available to everyone for free. The organization employs only 159 people and contains more than 25 million volunteer-authored articles in over 285 languages. The donation from The Lucky Clover Trading Company will help support technology, staff, and the necessary equipment to keep Wikipedia’s projects running and growing.

Associate Rachelle Gutschenritter states, “It’s important to support Wikipedia because having current and reliable information on the internet is hard to find these days. If we do not support this organization these resources may not be available to everyone anymore, let alone be for free.”

The Lucky Clover Trading Company is excited about giving back to the Wikimedia Foundation in support of keeping Wikipedia running and growing. The company will select one charitable non-profit organization to donate to every month. This program is open to non-profit organizations locally and nationally. The Lucky Clover Trading Company encourages those qualified to apply.
