The Lucky Clover Trading Company Gives Back to the Local Community,

Donating Baskets to Family Bridges

Benicia, CA – The Lucky Clover Trading Company, a division of Kingsum, Inc. announced today that they donated baskets to local nonprofit organization Family Bridges for their 44th Annual Fundraising Dinner – “And Justice for All” on June 2, 2012 in Oakland, CA. The baskets donated are used to create gift baskets to be sold in a silent auction.  Family Bridges’ annual fundraiser will benefit the nonprofit organization’s mission to help people, young and old, “lead self-sufficient, independent lives” through its programs and services.

A group of volunteers founded the Oakland Chinese Community Council, Inc. in 1968 to provide referral services and assistance to immigrants. As their services grew, the organization eventually changed their named in 2000, to Family Bridges. Forty years later, Family Bridges assists about 10,000 East Bay residents with programs and services that range from adult day health care, a child care center, senior center, and a social services program. Though they specialize in serving the Asian community, Family Bridges services are open to all types of people.

Michael Yim, President and CEO of the Lucky Clover Trading Co., supports Family Bridges efforts to provide services to individuals in the community.   “The guidance and care that Family Bridges provides seniors in the community humbles us.  We're privileged to contribute to this fundraiser in support of their mission.”

The Lucky Clover Trading Company is excited about giving back and is thrilled that their donation of baskets will help with Family Bridges’ annual fundraiser. The company will select one charitable non-profit organization to donate to every month. This program is open to non-profit organizations locally and nationally and The Lucky Clover Trading Co. encourages those qualified to apply.
