I use my Artisan baskets from Lucky Clover exclusively to let my bread rise in. Have been using this product for over a year, making about 150 loaves each weekend and they are perfect. They provide great markings for my bread and yet release nicely, I recommend them to any serious baker. And the price is super.

I absolutely love the proofing baskets. Now my artisan bread comes out of the oven with the characteristic spiral flour pattern imparted by the proofing basket. The price was sensational. I bought extras and took them to our local French bakery because the bakery's baskets were lost in a fire recently. The service was excellent.

I thought these proofing baskets were great. They are rattan, not the willow you ordinarily find, but I think if rattan vine grew in Europe they would have used it, willow being the next best thing. The rattan is untreated with a surface that holds flour well if you use them bare for the pattern it creates. I use cloth liners most of the time. The baskets are well made and vastly less expensive than willow or even plastic ones elsewhere. The minimum order here got me 7 assorted baskets for the price of two elsewhere. I needed a minimum of 4 anyway so I made the difference in long loaves.
