Benicia, CA-The Lucky Clover Trading Co., a division of Kingsum, Inc. announced today they are donating baskets to Heartstrings Community Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting adults with developmental disabilities. Heartstrings Community Foundation based out of Overland Park, KS, runs and operates five businesses that employ adults with developmental disabilities and gives them the opportunity to be part of the working community. The donation of baskets will be used in the organization’s gift basket making business, which will later be sold within the community and online.

Heartstrings Community Foundation’s goal and purpose is to be the preferred agency for individuals with developmental disabilities who can obtain training, employment, personal development, independence and relationships in the community in order to expand their life experiences.  The non-profit organization was founded by family members, friends, and educators of adults with developmental disabilities. The founding members know and understand first-hand the challenges of assisting adults with developmental disabilities. This includes the ability to acquire and maintain successful employment opportunities, as well as lead healthy and, enjoyable lifestyles.

“I am proud to be a part of a company that feels donating to this organization will make a difference. It is important that adults with developmental disabilities can be made to feel important and be a part of the working community” says associate Rachelle Gutschenritter.

The Lucky Clover Trading Company is excited about giving back and is thrilled that their donation of baskets will help with the Heartstrings Community Foundation gift basket business. The company will select one charitable non-profit organization to donate to every month. This program is open to non-profit organizations locally and nationally and The Lucky Clover Trading Co. encourages those qualified to apply.
