The Lucky Clover Trading Company Gives Back to the American Red Cross

To Aid in the Relief Efforts from Typhoon Haiyan

Benicia, CA- The Lucky Clover Trading Co., a division of Kingsum, Inc. announced today they are making a monetary donation to the American Red Cross to aid in the relief efforts from the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. The American Red Cross is a non-profit organization dedicated to “providing compassionate care to those in need”. Its network of generous donors, volunteers, and employees work to prevent and alleviate human suffering. In light of the recent tragedies that victims experienced from the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan, the company’s donation to the American Red Cross will assist survivors and their families displaced by the natural disaster.

On November 3rd, 2013, one of the most powerful typhoons reached the Philippines. Typhoon Haiyan claimed 5,235 lives, and left hundreds injured. This typhoon was underestimated, and lasted a devastating 8 days dissipating on November 11^th, 2013. During the 8 days, it destroyed the city of Tacloban and the surrounding areas. With such tragedy and misfortune, many shelters and aid were deployed throughout the city, in hopes of reviving the citizens of Tacloban and other cities affected by the typhoon.
