Top 10 Things to do with an old basket

Ok, so you received a gift basket.  You used up all the goodies and now what is left is the shell of what was once a spectacular display of fabulous goodies, with bows, ribbons, etc etc. Now it's an empty basket, a literal shell of what is was once before.  So boring, so dull... but also so much potential!  There's so much more you can do with that extra basket.  We have the top 10 things that you can do to bring a second life that basket of yours.

10.  Decorate and use it has a child's play hat.  Many handle gift baskets are the perfect size for a little one's noggin.  Why not up the fun value and dress it up a bit?  Add a some googly eyes and some ears to make it a fun animal hat, or use your imagination to make it something unique and fun!

9.  Make it into a bird feeder - Fill a wicker basket with seed and hang it on a tree.  A natural rustic basket with a handle would make a great bird feeder and will blend well with the natural surroundings.  You can decorate it to give it some flair to brighten up your backyard area.

8. Fire Wood - a wood gift basket makes great tinder.  Having a nice dry basket go off in a blaze of glory is a fitting way to go for a basket that lived out it services.

3.  Home Decor - a nice basket can and a touch or rustic charm on your bookcase or table.  Fill it up with sea shells for a nautical touch or fill it up with wicker balls for a modernized rustic look.

Storage - baskets make a great container to organize your belongings.  Use it in your pantry to separate food types.  Also if you have a round basket, it can be great to help organize plates.  Use it to store toys, remotes, yarn, knickknacks or anything else.  Use it in your garage to separate nuts and bolts, trinkets etc.  The lists of organizational uses are endless!
