began over 30 years ago when our founders Peter and Susan Lam started a home based basket delivery service to gift and flower shops in the San Francisco Bay Area. Months later, our founders purchased "The Lucky Clover Trading Co." name from a former customer, allowing them to build what became one of the most respected namesakes in the basket industry. Our founders began importing baskets from Asia, delivering them locally door to door. As word of mouth about our quality and service spread, our business grew. Peter and Susan quickly expanded service to the Los Angeles area. Within just a few years, we began selling wholesale to all corners of the United States.
Our original mission, which still holds true today, was simple: To be a respected purveyor of quality baskets while providing no less than excellence in customer service. Since the 1980's, our buyers have traveled Asia and the Pacific to source, design, and import baskets for any conceivable use or application. Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, our location allows us to efficiently distribute baskets nationally to both the trade, and more recently, to the public.
Throughout the 1980's and 1990's, we built and solidified our expertise in baskets. Coupling this expertise with our knowledge of industry needs, we established a firm foothold as a leader in wholesale basket distribution. We've had the pleasure of serving an eclectic client base, from traditional Main Street gift shops, to national retail chains, and to volume gift basket fulfillment companies. Our broad client base spans multiple industries, such as restaurant, hospitality, nursery, interior design and retail just to name a few. Over the past three decades, we have sourced and imported thousands of basket designs, ranging from volumes as low as ten to as high as ten thousand baskets at a time. Having served thousands of customers, we understand your needs because we have perfected the art of design and the science of distribution of baskets. This remains a core competency that separates us from our peers.
